Aquiles Navarro

Aquiles Navarro, the American trumpeter, composer, and DJ with Panamanian roots, is renowned for his fearless improvisations that intertwine avant-garde jazz, Latin American traditions, and electronics. As a soloist, he shares the stage with dancers, visual artists, actors, spoken word performers, as well as musicians from diverse traditions. He is the central figure of the socially engaged free jazz collective Irreversible Entanglements, forms a regular duo with drummer Tcheser Holmes, and founded the record label River Down Records. In 2024 he worked on the album Tangles, in collaboration with Swedish DJ and producer Olof Melander. Recently, he traded New York for Brussels, where he frequently performs at venues such as Ancienne Belgique and hosts the monthly radio show Aquiles Navarro Presents on BRUZZ.
