duo tiaire
Harpist Claire Schuurmans and cellist Tiago Luís Henriques met in 2021 at The Hague Conservatory. After a successful chamber music project around Philippe Hersant, they decided to join forces. As Duo Tiaire they have since been playing surprising, contemporary repertoire in an atypical line-up. Schuurmans and Henriques have received accolades at various international competitions and won second prize in the Ensemble category of the Rosa Spier Harp Competition. At the Prinses Christina Competition, they won first prize in the regional finals and came second in the national finals. In 2023, they created an interdisciplinary performance based on José Saramago's Blindness.
trio dea
Violinist Quintijn van Heek, cellist Jacob van Durme and pianist Steven Kleeven first met at Musica Mundi Course & Festival, a summer course for chamber music at the highest level. Since 2021, they have formed Trio DEA and perform piano trio repertoire with a twist. Inspired by jazz icons such as Hiromi and Veronica Swift, they highlight the expressive character of Franz Schubert and Johannes Brahms and explore the boundaries of classical chamber music. In 2025, this quest led to their selection for the Shapovalov Festival, Winteravonden aan de Amstel and Klassiek in Bedum, among others. In 2026, Trio DEA can be heard at the festival Echoes of Nothing at Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ.
effel quartet
Effel Quartet is a four-piece saxophone ensemble with a tremendous sense of experimentation and adventure. In addition to arrangements by the likes of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, saxophonists Kristof Havasi, David Patyra, Jorge Esteban and Kacper Puczko also present rarely performed works, new creations and visual projects. In this way, they aim to challenge the traditional expectations of a saxophone quartet and build bridges with other artistic disciplines. In recent years, Effel Quartet has performed at the Brussels festival Midis Minimes, the Nuit de la Poésie of Musiq3, the Palais des Beaux Arts de Charleroi and Łazienki Królewskie in Warsaw. In the autumn of 2025, they also toured Brussels care institutions for ‘Klarafestival takes care of you'. In 2026, they will perform the world premiere of Vincent David’s Images.
naka quartet
Named after the Japanese word for connection, Quatuor Naka plays music that builds bridges, raises questions and seeks balance. The string quartet, made up of Karen Nonomura and Giovanna Sevi on violin, Camille Havel on viola and Boris Benazdia on cello, was formed in 2024 out of a shared desire to make chamber music a lively place for dialogue and depth. Under the guidance of renowned musicians from the Diotima Kwartet, Silesian Quartet and Quatuor Danel, they developed a musical DNA full of curiosity, passion and a sense of experimentation. On stages in Belgium, France and Italy, they perform classical string quartets and contemporary creations, with a special focus on Belgian repertoire
