Ruben Machtelinckx & Arve Henriksen
a short story
Guitarist and composer Ruben Machtelinckx has already enjoyed an impressive career, receiving a Klara Award for Best Belgian Jazz CD, among others. The Norwegian trumpetist Arve Henriksen made a name for himself with Supersilent, but meanwhile his familiar trumpet sound can be heard on numerous records. Together they are a dream jazz duo. Henriksen’s whispering trumpet engages in a soft dialogue with Machtelinckx’s atmospheric guitar and compositions. Ideal late-evening music.
Concert as part of Equinox, a weekend around stillness in introspection.
A Short Story pulls you into a dream world, a place where the music simply speaks for itself.
