[cancelled] Barbara Hannigan feat. Katia & Marielle Labèque

It is with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of Electric Fields on 19 March 2023 at Bozar as part of the Klarafestival, due to the technical complexity of this multimedia project.

The project, produced by Los Angeles Philharmonic, directed by Netia Jones and involving Barbara Hannigan, Katia & Marielle Labeque and David Chalmin, premiered in LA in November 2022. Unfortunately, the producers came to the conclusion that it was not possible to adapt the production’s complex technical requirements in time for the concert in Brussels. 

Customers who bought a ticket for this concert will be contacted by e-mail by Bozar concerning the reimbursement or exchange of their tickets.

Festival artist Barbara Hannigan and the legendary Labèque sisters sought out music that cannot be pigeonholed, that is persistently unruly. Together they traverse nine centuries of music, from Hildegard von Bingen’s mystical medieval sounds to the music of Bryce Dessner and David Chalmin’s live electronics. Conducted by and with interactive images from Netia Jones, Electric Fields is not just a concert, but an immersive audio-visual experience.

European premiere. Performance as part of Equinox, a weekend around stillness in introspection.
