All those present last year had their socks blown off by conductor Gražinytė-Tyla and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Reason enough to invite them again, this time with a romantic programme and a special role for star violinist Vilde Frang. After spring awakens with Schumann’s Symphony No. 1, Frang takes on Elgar’s lyrical and extremely difficult Violin Concerto.
