None other than the “Icelandic Glenn Gould” Víkingur Ólafsson and the multiple award-winning St. Louis Symphony Orchestra round off Klarafestival 2023. Conducted by Stéphane Denève, the orchestra performs Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances and the suite from Prokofiev’s humorous opera The Love for Three Oranges. No challenge is too great for the Icelandic piano virtuoso: he braves Grieg’s breakneck Piano Concerto.
