Echo 2025
for professionals in the classical music scene
How do we create, perform and experience classical music today? And what does the future hold? Klarafestival, Kunstenpunt, Bozar, DE SINGEL, Concertgebouw Brugge, and De Bijloke would like to reflect on these questions together with leading voices from the music sector. That’s why we warmly invite you to Bozar for the fourth edition of Echo, the sector event for classical music . Afterwards, you can enjoy the concert An Evening with Patricia Kopatchinskaja at Flagey.
Echo 2025: Coming of Age
Centuries-old music scores and never-before-heard sounds. Tradition and innovation. Bright young prodigies and éminences grises. Classical music is where old and new meet. Age is a central axis around which we think, play, create and experience music. So, it’s high time to consider, together with the young, old and everyone in between, what age means for our sector. How do we approach musical legacies? What do we expect from the emerging new generation of musicians? How can we take care to build sustainable carreers, even later in life? And how can we inspire young audiences to embrace classical music?
Keynotes & inspiration sessions
During Echo 2025, we will put these questions to keynote speakers Anne La Berge and Diamanda La Berge Dramm. Both musicians work at the intersection between the contemporary and classical and, as mother and daughter, have a highly original perspective on the overlaps and fractures between generations. In addition to the keynotes, the experts will explore these topics further together with the attendees during six inspiration sessions.
