EU interns

As an international festival, Klarafestival is strongly committed to reaching out to the international audience in Brussels, with a broad programme and multilingual communication. For that reason, each year we invite EU-interns in Brussels to a concert to familiarise them with the cultural life of Brussels. Besides the concert, we offer an introduction and a networking opportunity. For this project, we are working together with the Traineeships Office of the Council of the European Union.  

2024

In 2024, the EU trainees could assist to a concert by festival artist and soprano Claron McFadden and TACTUS Ensemble, with music by American composer David Lang. This was followed by an after-drink in the presence of Bryn Watkins, communications and project manager of commissioner.brussels.

2023

Concert performed by festival artist and soprano Barbara Hannigan, soloists from Equilibrium Young Artists and the LUDWIG Orchestra. Brussels minister Sven Gatz introduced the evening. Barbara Hannigan then commented on her mentoring initiative Equilibrium Young Artists and Equilibrium members Emma Posman and Rolf Verbeek took the floor.

2022

In 2022, we invited EU-interns to the première of Lalaei, a production by Zwerm and WALPURGIS. Brussels Minister Sven Gatz was present to address the invitees. Check out the pictures!
