four top concerts in Bozar
European Galas are major symphonic concerts that traditionally form the backbone of Klarafestival. During the digital edition of Klarafestival in March 2021, it was not possible to engage foreign symphony orchestras. Now we are making up for the loss and organise in collaboration with Bozar no less than four European Galas in the coming months.
-
On Sunday 26 September, the Freiburger Barockorchester and the vocal ensemble Vox Luminis will perform Händel's Coronation Anthems under the direction of the French conductor Lionel Meunier.
-
The Norwegian star pianist Leif Ove Andsnes will perform both Mozart's Twenty-third and Twenty-fourth Piano Concertos in collaboration with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra on Saturday 20 November.
-
One day later, on Sunday 21 November, Leif Ove Andsnes will perform Mozart's Twenty-first and Twenty-first Piano Concertos. The Mahler Chamber Orchestra will then also play Mozart's Prague Symphony.
-
Under the direction of the legendary Valery Gergiev, the Mariinsky Orchestra from St Petersburg will play the last European Gala on Sunday 19 December. The programme includes Berlioz' Symphonie Fantastique as well as Stravinsky's Petrushka.
If you still have a voucher due to the cancellation of Klarafestival 2020, you can use it when booking tickets for the mentioned concerts. We look forward to seeing you!
