How to connect social action and music making?
Sign up for a free afternoon full of inspiration and reflection
What skills do musicians need to work with communities, schools or cultural organisations? What effects do participatory activities have on participants and artists? How do you bring together artistic creativity and social engagement? On Thursday 22 October, Klarafestival, Brussels Philharmonic, and the Academic Chair Jonet/CESAMM invite everyone with an interest in participatory music practices to reflect on the questions above.
programme
The programme consists of workshops and talks, with hands-on sessions by Jalel Vangoethem (MetX) and Ilse Duyck (HOGENT), and research insights by An De bisschop and Filip Verneert (Academic Chair Jonet, Ghent University, HOGENT). There will also be room to exchange ideas and share experiences.
